From the historic roots of the Lewis & Clark Expedition and Frontiersman Daniel Boone to the modern day successes of Citigroup and MasterCard International, St. Charles County continues to play a vibrant role in the American Heartland and in metropolitan St. Louis.

Established October 1, 1812, St. Charles County encompasses 561-square-miles of diverse landscape spreading out westward from the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers.

Thanks to record-setting growth and careful planning, new urbanism communities now blend with more than 23,000 acres of public parkland. Expansive office campuses for global companies share the landscape with on-going subdivision developments. A regional shopping mall compliments quaint stores on the historic riverfront. Nationally recognized hospitals and award-winning public schools and institutions of higher learning eagerly serve the community. And everyone loves the natural beauty, fine wines and collectibles found in Missouri Wine Country and the Missouri Katy Trail.

According to USA Today, "Just about everything here in St. Charles County, 30 miles west of St. Louis' Gateway Arch, seems brand spanking new: the malls, the churches, the athletic fields."

In 1970, less than 100,000 people lived in St. Charles County. Today, census estimates place the local population above 320,000 with more than 7,000 new residents moving here each year for the last decade.

The three largest local communities are O'Fallon, St. Charles and St. Peters, each with their own character and enticing amenities. Together they account for more than half of the county population. In recent years, Wentzville has been riding the crest of a westward migration wave. Other equally impressive and growing cities include Lake Saint Louis, built around two lakes totaling 625 acres, Dardenne Prairie, Weldon Spring and Cottleville.

As a collar county to metro St. Louis, St. Charles County is just minutes from Lambert St. Louis International Airport. Nearby regional attractions include the St. Louis Zoo, St. Louis Science Center, St. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis Symphony, Six Flags St. Louis, and championship sports teams like the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues.

With a colorful history and an exciting future, come discover why St. Charles County, Missouri is a great place to grow your business and your life!
